Hand prioritized features to your delivery team as Shortcut epics

Overview

The Shortcut integration, built by Shortcut, connects prioritization in Productboard to engineering execution in Shortcut. Push features to Shortcut as epics and follow their delivery status from the board where you prioritized them.

Push features to Shortcut as epics

Click the Shortcut button on any Productboard feature to create a new epic in Shortcut. The epic inherits the feature's name and description. Pushes create new epics — adding to an existing epic, or pushing as a Story or Objective, isn't supported.

Track epic status in Productboard

The Shortcut column on your feature board reflects each linked epic's current status as it moves through development. Click the status to jump straight to the epic in Shortcut.

Navigate between the two tools

Every connected feature and epic pair links in both directions. Developers open the Productboard feature from Shortcut to see the business context, and product managers click through to the epic for delivery details.

Setup

A Productboard admin generates the access token, and configuration happens in Shortcut.

1. In Shortcut, click the Integrations icon and select Productboard Integration.
2. In Productboard, open Integrations from the lower-left user icon and locate the Shortcut integration.
3. Generate an API Access Token in Productboard and copy it.
4. Paste the token into Shortcut's Productboard Integration pane and click Connect.

The token is tied to the Productboard user who created it. If that account is disabled, generate a new token to re-enable the integration.
