Turn MS Teams messages into feedback for your product team

Overview

The Microsoft Teams integration brings feedback shared in Teams into Productboard, so what customers and colleagues report lands in one system of record. Product managers and stakeholders across sales, customer success, and engineering can route feedback into Productboard as part of their conversations in Teams.

Push messages as feedback

Forward any plain-text message from a team channel, private channel, or direct chat into Productboard as a piece of feedback. Any Teams user can push feedback, including people who aren't Productboard workspace members.

Highlight the most important parts of a Teams message and link them to related feature ideas in Productboard, directly from Teams.

View Productboard roadmaps, features, and the product portal right from within MS Teams, without switching apps.

Setup

You'll need a Productboard admin role, permission to install apps in Microsoft Teams, and a paid Microsoft 365 plan. Connect from either side — both routes run through Microsoft's OAuth flow, and once you authorize, the integration is live.

From Productboard:

1. Go to Settings → Integrations and select the Microsoft Teams tile.
2. Sign in and consent on the Microsoft screen that appears.
3. Productboard then shows the connected Teams tenant, its connection status, and a disconnect option.

From Microsoft Teams:

1. Search for "Productboard" in the Microsoft Teams Marketplace and click Add.
2. Type "Sign in" in the Productboard Insights chat in Teams.
3. Enter your Productboard workspace URL in the popup.
4. Authenticate with your Productboard credentials and click Authorize.
