See the revenue behind every feature request

Sync Salesforce accounts and opportunities into Productboard to segment feedback and quantify deal impact.

Overview

The Salesforce integration brings CRM data into product decisions. Accounts sync in as companies, opportunities arrive as feedback, and the roadmap gains a view of which customers and how much revenue sit behind each feature.

Import accounts as companies

Sync Salesforce Account records into Productboard as companies, with standard and custom field mapping and scheduled auto-import. Incoming feedback is attributed to the right customer account automatically.

Segment customers by account attributes

Build rule-based segments from synced account attributes — enterprise accounts above an ARR threshold, a region, an industry. Productboard aggregates each segment's metrics, such as average MRR and seat counts, so you can weigh feedback by the segment it comes from.

Import opportunities as feedback

Pull opportunity fields — won and lost reasons, amounts, close dates — into Productboard as feedback on insights boards. Filter before importing, and filter afterwards by Source → Salesforce.

Quantify features by deal revenue

Link an opportunity data field, like deal amount, to your features. An Opportunity value column then shows the total deal revenue associated with each feature's feedback, connecting roadmap choices to pipeline impact.

Setup

A Productboard workspace admin sets up the connection, and Salesforce-side configuration requires admin-level permissions there: creating a Connected App for account sync, and Streaming API with Push Topics permissions for opportunities.

  1. In Productboard, go to your account name → Integrations → CRMs section, and click + next to Salesforce.
  2. In Salesforce, create a Connected App with OAuth enabled, add the Productboard callback URL, and select the required scopes.
  3. Wait about 10 minutes for Salesforce to process the Connected App.
  4. Back in Productboard, paste the Consumer Key and Consumer Secret and click Authorize.
  5. For opportunities, enable the Streaming API in Salesforce and confirm Push Topics permissions.
