"Productboard has become our single source of truth. Now, instead of opinions driving decisions, we have the data to back up what we build."
VP of Product, Evercast
Evercast is revolutionizing creative collaboration for media and entertainment industries, providing a high-quality, low-latency, and secure streaming platform for major studios like Disney, Warner Bros., and Netflix. As a platform built to meet the rigorous demands of film, TV, gaming, and even industries like advertising and healthcare, Evercast empowers remote teams to make critical creative decisions efficiently.
But as Evercast grew, so did the volume of customer requests and strategic decisions their product team needed to navigate. Managing this influx of data and ensuring alignment across stakeholders became increasingly complexâuntil they adopted Productboard.
Evercastâs core mission is to provide a secure, high-quality collaboration platform for the entertainment industry. Unlike traditional video conferencing tools, Evercast needs to ensure low latency and uncompromised security for IP-sensitive content. The IP of big motion picture studios is incredibly important, so having unparalleled security is non-negotiable.
To meet these high standards, Evercastâs product team prioritizes features based on feedback from both industry clients and internal stakeholders. The problem? âWe just have so many requests coming in,â said Tommy Snyder, VP of Product at Evercast. âHow do you really prioritize that? And how do you deliver really high-quality products?â
Before Productboard, these competing priorities often resulted in disjointed workflows, misalignment between teams, and inefficiencies in tracking customer needs. The team lacked a single source of truth for feature requests, making it difficult to communicate priorities internally and justify roadmap decisions to stakeholders. Key barriers included:
Without centralized data, prioritizing features and identifying trends was often based on assumptions rather than facts. âBefore Productboard, it really was a guessing game,â Tommy admits. âSupport would say, âOh, people are complaining about this,â but there wasnât much data to back that up. Product had their own requests, and tech was saying they needed something different. So we spent a lot of time arguing over thoughts and opinions.â
â[We] can now look at these in one place and see where requests align, which lets us solve multiple pain points with one feature.â

The introduction of Productboard changed that dynamic by integrating all of Evercastâs key data sources, from Zendesk for customer issues to Jira for tracking feature requests. âNow weâre able to have really fact-based discussions,â Tommy explains. âWe take customer issues from Zendesk, filter them into pain points, and organize feature requests in Productboard. Tech can now look at these in one place and see where requests align, which lets us solve multiple pain points with one feature.â
This shift has allowed the Evercast team to spend less time on internal debates and more time on executing valuable solutions for customers. Tommy points to a specific feature as an example: âOne of our top requests was âclear all drawingsââsomething we may have overlooked before. Now, we can prioritize it based on demand and see the immediate impact on customer satisfaction.â
By implementing Productboard, Evercast transformed the way they prioritize features, align stakeholders, and optimize product operations. âProductboard has been a total game changer for us. It gives us a high-level overview of requests and helps us prioritize based on what aligns with our vision,â said Tommy. âNow we can tell more of a cohesive story of, âHey, these are the select ones because weâve had the most requests for these, or we feel like these bring the most value because of X, Y, Z.ââ

Innovation is central to Evercastâs growth strategy. One recent success was Evercastâs integration with Apple Vision Pro, which allowed creators to experience immersive, real-time collaboration.
âThanks to Productboard, we can also make sure weâre supporting our core features and keeping our high standards for existing users.â

The Apple Vision Pro project exemplifies Evercastâs approach to innovation. Tommy and his team designed the app to bring Evercastâs conferencing features into a theater-like environment, allowing directors to work remotely while visualizing their films in large-scale, high-resolution formats. One notable success story came from director John Chu, who used the Vision Pro app to review footage from Wicked at home, even creating a virtual theater to see his work in a realistic setting.
For Tommy, this project highlights the importance of balancing core product functions with visionary innovation. âItâs unknown territory, but itâs incredibly exciting. And thanks to Productboard, we can also make sure weâre supporting our core features and keeping our high standards for existing users.â
With Productboard, Evercast streamlined their product management processes and reduced friction between teams, making it easier to align on what truly matters. The results?
