Strategic Finance Manager - GTM

We are seeking an experienced Strategic Finance professional to support our high growth business and be a force multiplier for our distributed teams. 

As a critical member of the Strategic Finance team, you will work closely with our Executive Team and key business leaders to drive ROI-driven decision making.

On a typical day, you will…

  • Monitor and analyze the financial trajectory of the business and drive monthly reporting and forecasting and own weekly and monthly reporting
  • Identify issues, develop hypotheses, and execute in-depth analysis to translate data into actionable insights and make recommendations to key decision makers and the executive team
  • Formulate and drive strategic and long-term comprehensive business plans in collaboration with key business stakeholders
  • Drive alignment with GTM leaders to inform strategic decisions and goal setting. 
  • Be a thought partner and finance lead to key decision makers across the company to help drive strategic initiatives and special projects
  • Prepare and maintain various complex financial models (i.e. what-if analysis) to provide support for strategic initiative decision-making
  • Prepare analyses and materials to communicate business performance and trends to the executive team, board members, and investors
  • Partner with our GTM Ops team to ensure a unified source of truth for all critical KPIs 
  • Provide real-time visibility into KPIs for our business leaders and identify opportunities to improve our GTM motion
  • Lead annual planning and quarterly forecasts for cross-functional teams and evaluate organizational tradeoffs
  • Proactively identify opportunities for process improvements and tool implementation in Finance & Operations departments
  • Prepare quarterly board presentations and investor updates

About you

  • Minimum 6+ years of combined experience in investment banking, private equity, management consulting, strategic finance, or FP&A (preferably partnering with go-to-market organizations at a high growth SaaS company)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or other relevant disciplines
  • Strong interpersonal skills and experience building strong internal and external relationships
  • Deep understanding of the key drivers of a B2B SaaS business
  • An understanding of GAAP accounting and corporate finance principles
  • Excellent project management skills, ability to manage and extract insights from large data sets, critically analyze existing processes, and identify opportunities for process improvement
  • Preferred experience with ERP solutions and reporting and analytics tools (e.g. NetSuite, Looker, etc.)

The expected base pay range for this position in the San Francisco area is $155,200 - $205,600. In addition to the base pay, this role is eligible for variable compensation, competitive equity awards, and benefits.
Productboard's pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, the successful candidate’s starting base pay will be determined based on factors including job-related skills, experience, qualifications, relevant education or training, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.
