Senior Manager of Business Development

San Francisco

As Senior Manager of Business Development you’ll be responsible for building and leading a high-performing BDR organization. You’ll set the strategy, optimize processes, and develop talent to consistently exceed pipeline goals. This is a cross-functional leadership role that partners closely with sales, marketing, growth, rev ops, and the product organization to build high quality pipeline that fuels enterprise revenue growth.

What You'll Do

Leadership & Team Development

  • Hire, coach, and develop a high-performing team of BDRs that consistently hit targets
  • Develop best in class onboarding, training, and professional development programs that support career progression from BDR to AE 
  • Foster a culture of accountability, curiosity, and continuous improvement.

Pipeline & Strategy

  • Own BDR pipeline creation goals and performance metrics across both inbound and outbound motions
  • Partner with sales leadership to define territory strategy, segmentation, and outbound campaigns calendar in collaboration with Sales and Marketing.
  • Use data to iterate on messaging, channel selection and cadence timing, and outreach effectiveness.

Tech Stack & Process Optimization

  • Partner with RevOps to maximize the tech stack (Tools we leverage include Gong, Outreach, Salesforce, Clay, 6sense & Qualified)
  • Implement scalable systems and processes to ensure repeatability and efficiency across core areas such as lead follow up SLAs, account prospecting density, daily and weekly activity KPIs and overall pipeline build
  • Leverage AI and automation to enhance BDR workflows including areas such as prospecting efficiency, account research, call summarization, timely follow up and personalization.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with demand generation, product marketing, and sales to align messaging and GTM strategy and partner closely with global campaigns team and lifecycle marketing to drive continuous messaging experimentation
  • Share insights from customer calls with Provide feedback loops from prospects to influence product and marketing.

Job Requirements

  • 5+ years in B2B SaaS sales or business development
  • 3+ years management experience
  • Proven track record of exceeding targets
  • Deep understanding of outbound best practices, ABM, and modern prospecting strategies
  • Analytical mindset with comfort in using data to drive decisions
  • Experience managing a global team a plus
  • Familiarity and comfort leveraging AI tools to augment BDR workflows
  • Inspirational leader and strong communicator
